What's it like?
If you have petrol for blood, this is the perfect game. The vehicle selection includes everything from classic sports models to mid-80s Volvo estates, and every car is infinitely customisable. Sadly, there are some problems, though – the cars never suffer any damage and your opponents just drive around the track in predetermined patterns. Also, the much-vaunted online mode has been dropped completely.
Worth playing?
If you're just looking for a good game, you should probably avoid it. Racing the computer-controlled drivers offers no kind of enjoyment, the controls can seem inaccurate and the lack of any car damage breaks the spell cast by the super-realistic graphics and handling. Still, there's no doubting the mighty achievement this title represents. |
